Les Andelys invites you to discover Château-Gaillard with or without a guide.


Several week-ends a year, medieval camps are organised on the bailey to let you discover everything about daily life in the Middle Ages.

Cultural and fun activities for children are organised by the Municipal Tourist Office to make them live out the siege of Château-Gaillard in 1204.

You are fond of Arts or curious about culture: Nicolas Poussin Museum tells you everything about local history and about the men and the artists who took part.

The museum can be visited with or without a guide and organizes many educational workshops for young people or adults, with a lot of manual and artistic activities in relation with the collections of Nicolas Poussin Museum around the year.

Rambling, strolling and walking

There is a large range of footpaths in and around Les Andelys for those who like rambling or just walking or even discovering the local fauna and flora.

Feel like just strolling along the rivers and streets? The Municipal Tourist Office provides you with two free brochures so that you can learn at you own pace, more about the town and its heritage:
